Jeremy Kennedy is nationally recognised for his expertise in managing serious workplace incidents and complex employment issues. He represents employers in the mining, construction and manufacturing industries throughout Australia and regularly provides advice and training to boards in relation to compliance with work health and safety laws.

Jeremy has 30 years of legal experience as a specialist workplace, employment and industrial relations lawyer with a focus on work health and safety, serious incident management and prosecutions by safety regulators. Jeremy has been acknowledged in 2018 by Doyles Legal Guide as a leading WHS lawyer nationally, and in 2018 and 2020 as highly recommended in the areas of labour law by Best Lawyers International Legal Guide.

Jeremy also has broad experience dealing with Commercial Litigation matters. He acts in the District and Supreme Courts in NSW, and the Federal Court in Commercial Dispute matters, including:

  • Breach of non-disclosure and confidentiality/restraint agreements
  • Matters seeking injunctive relief, equitable remedies and damages

He has also sought and obtained elusive remedies such as Mareva Injunctions (civil asset freeze orders) and Anton Piller Orders (civil search and seizure orders) on behalf of his clients.
