Based in the heart of Sydney, Portia Timmis is a Lawyer and core member of the Insurance Law Team at Chamberlains. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Laws with Honours from the University of Newcastle Australia. Portia majored in Politics and International Relations with a focus on the workings of the International Political Economy.
She is a keen litigator with a strong background in Insurance Law. Portia has experience working for brokers, insurers and insureds in the Local Court, District Court as well as the Supreme and Federal Courts. She approaches all litigation with consideration to working business relationships and a focus on dispute resolution.
Portia understands that no client is the same. She believes that a foundation built on trust is the driving force in achieving the best results for those in need.
When Portia is out of office you can find her on a run with her training partner and dog, Ollie. She’s also quite the experimental cook!
